Before you start

Where can you apply?

You can usually apply from the country where you are now, even as a tourist in a third country. However, for some nationalities the embassy requires you to apply from your own country, or from the country where you legally live. Our team will tell you if this applies to your passport. If you are unsure, please check with the Thai Embassy where you plan to apply.

  • Passport: valid for at least 6 months, with at least 2 blank pages.
  • Police clearance: only for the countries we have informed you require it. If this applies to you, you will need a Police Clearance from your own country.
  • Timing: Ministry of Education approval takes 7–14 business days, our school documents then take 3–5 business days, and the embassy needs 5–14 business days to process your e-Visa. Please allow about 3–7 weeks in total and start early.
