How the test works

Questions are multiple choice or fill in the answer, as on the real test. You can flag questions and come back to them before you finish.
Step by step
- Enter your details. Your full name, your BLS student ID and your email. Ask your teacher if you don't know your student ID.
- Take the test. 115 minutes in one sitting. Your answers are saved in your browser if the page reloads.
- Get your result by email. Your score, your score band and your result in each topic, straight away.
- Review with your teacher. Your teacher goes through the questions you missed and plans your next lessons.
Tips
- Use a computer if you can, in a quiet place, with 2 hours free.
- Have scratch paper and a pencil ready.
- Use only the on-screen calculator and formula sheet — no notes, apps or help from others.
- Don't leave answers blank: there is no penalty for a wrong answer.
