90-Day Reporting

For ED Visa students

90-Day Reporting: let Immigration know where you live

Every 90 days you stay in Thailand, you must report your address to Immigration. It is free, it is quick, and it is your own responsibility. Our admin team sends you a reminder with your date before it is due.

Please note: a 90-day report is not a visa extension. It only confirms your address. The school does not prepare this document for you, but we are happy to help if you have questions.

How it works

  • Your due date is printed on the small white slip the Immigration officer gives you. For your first report, the date is on the slip you receive at your first extension.
  • It is separate from your extension. Reports and extensions usually fall on different dates, so keep track of both.
  • The count restarts every time you enter Thailand. Your entry date is day 1, and your next report is due 90 days later.
  • We remind you. Our admin team sends you a message with your 90-day date before it is due.

First report

First report: go in person

For your first 90-day report, please go to the Immigration Office in person.

Bring these documents
  • Your passport
  • TM30 (residence notification)
  • The small white slip showing your 90-day date
  • TM47 form, filled in completely and correctly
Where to get the TM47 form

Chaeng Watthana Immigration, Government Complex Center, Ratthaprasasanabhakti Building (Building B), Chaeng Watthana Road, Lak Si, Bangkok 10210. Open Monday to Friday; closed on public holidays.

Please check every field on your TM47 before you go. Incomplete forms are a common reason for being sent back.

Second report onward

From your second report: try online

  1. 1
    Open the online TM47 system
Go to the official Immigration website and register with your email the first time. Report online (TM47 system)
  2. 2
Submit within the 15 days before your due date
Enter your details exactly as they appear in your passport, with your current address.
  3. 3
    Check your status
An officer reviews your request, usually within a few days. Check your email or the system for the result.
  4. 4
    Save your approved receipt
Print or save the approved receipt and keep it with your passport. It shows your next 90-day date.
If your online report is not accepted, report in person at Immigration with the same documents as your first report, within the reporting window.

Common mistakes

  • Missing or incomplete TM47. Fill in every field clearly before you go.
  • Old TM30. If you moved or came back from a trip abroad, ask your landlord, condo office or hotel to file a new TM30 first.
  • Submitting online too late. Online reports must be sent before your due date. After that, go in person.
  • Mixing up dates. Your 90-day date and your extension date are different. Check the white slip.
  • Losing your receipt. Keep every 90-day receipt with your passport; you may be asked for it next time.

Questions students ask

Is a 90-day report the same as a visa extension?
No. A 90-day report only confirms your address and does not give you more days. Your extension is a separate step. See our ED Visa Extension guide.
I travelled abroad. What happens to my 90-day date?
The count restarts from the day you re-enter Thailand. Your next report is due 90 days after that entry date. Remember to update your TM30 after every trip. See our Re-entry Permit guide.
I missed my 90-day date. What should I do?
Go to Immigration in person as soon as possible and tell our admin team. If you are more than 7 days late, the fine is 2,000 THB.
Can the THIM app do my 90-day report?
Not at the moment. Please use the official online TM47 system or report in person.
Do I need my 90-day receipt for anything else?
Yes. For example, Bangkok Immigration usually asks to see one when you apply for a Certificate of Residence.

Not sure about your date?

Our friendly admin team can check it with you.
