🛂Visas in Thailand (2025 Update)

At Bubble Language School, we are committed to providing comprehensive support for our students and visitors navigating Thailand's visa processes. As a language institution registered under the Ministry of Education, we offer assistance with the Non-Immigrant ED Visa and keep you informed about the latest immigration requirements, including the e-Visa system and the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC).


🎓 Non-Immigrant ED Visa for Language Studies

The Non-Immigrant ED Visa is designed for individuals intending to study in Thailand. At Bubble Language School, we facilitate the application process for students enrolling in our Thai or English language programs.

Key Features:

  • Initial Validity: 90 days

  • Change-Visa Fees: 2,000 THB

  • Extensions: Up to 5 times, totaling a maximum stay of 12 months/ 14 months

  • Extension Fees: 1,900 THB per extension

  • Requirements: Regular class attendance and compliance with immigration regulations

Application Process:

  1. Enrollment: Register for a language course at Bubble Language School.

  2. Documentation: Provide necessary documents, including passport copies and photographs.

  3. MOE Approval: We submit your application to the Ministry of Education for approval.

  4. Visa Application: Upon MOE approval, apply for the ED Visa at a Thai embassy or consulate.

Important Notes:

  • 90-Day Reporting: Mandatory reporting to immigration every 90 days.

  • Re-Entry Permit: Required if you plan to leave and re-enter Thailand during your visa validity.


🌐 Thailand's e-Visa System

As of January 1, 2025, Thailand has expanded its e-Visa system globally, allowing travelers from all nationalities to apply for various visa types online. 

Benefits:

  • Convenience: Apply from anywhere without visiting a Thai embassy or consulate.

  • Efficiency: Streamlined application process with online document submission and fee payment.

  • Accessibility: Available for Tourist, Non-Immigrant (including ED), and other visa categories.

🛬 Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

Starting May 1, 2025, all non-Thai nationals entering Thailand must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online before arrival. This digital system replaces the traditional paper-based TM6 arrival card.

Key Information:

Purpose:

  • Streamlines immigration processing.

  • Enhances security and health monitoring.

  • Eliminates the need for paper forms.

Note: Ensure you complete the TDAC to avoid delays upon arrival in Thailand.

  • Tourist Visa: For short-term stays, with options for single or multiple entries.

  • Visa Exemption: Citizens from certain countries can enter Thailand without a visa for stays up to 60 days.

  • Visa on Arrival (VoA): Available for citizens of specific countries, allowing a 15-day stay.

  • Non-Immigrant B Visa: For business or employment purposes.

  • Non-Immigrant O & OA Visas: For retirees, dependents, or spouses of Thai citizens.

  • Long-Term Resident (LTR) Visa: For professionals, retirees, and investors seeking long-term stay.

  • Smart Visa: For digital nomads, tech professionals, and startup entrepreneurs.
